One of the biggest pluses to Mozilla is a setting that will allow you to stop child windows from being opened by your browser when you use the web (i.e., no more frazzlin' X10 pop-under ads!).

It seems the fad now is to replace the pop-ups (since everyone is disabling them through 3rd party sw) and replace them with forced on flash presentations that block what you are attempting to view for a period of time, until you can X out of that. Is there anything that will stop that short of disabling flash?

Funny you should mention that, I ran across a new one for Jaguar on Weather.com just two or three minutes ago - I don't know a way...yet. I'm sure someone will figure out a way around that one soon enough.

I just started using some freeware called Proxomitron http://www.spamblocked.com/proxomitron/ . It filters all kinds of stuff and allows for you to script your own filters. It doesn't change your browser or your registry.

If anyone knows of any downside to this product then I'd appreciate hearing it.
