This is my first post here on freep. I've been reading the articles and the posts for a while but never dived in. But, this article finally broke the dam for me. I don't know whether to scream or holler after reading this. Mostly I want to cry. After all this country has been through we still have people that are more concerned with foreigners/immigrants than they are with our safety and well being. A government of the people, for the people and by the people? I doubt it. It's turning into a government of the third world, for the third world and by the third world.

The INS never has and never will issue or approve visa's. That is the function of the State Department.

The letters in question, informed the school that the INS had approved their adjustment of status. These letters were dated prior to 9/11.
