If it were only that simple.
Marxists learned in the early part of the 20th century that the successful revolutions they orchastrated in Europe would not succeed in America partly because of this nation's Judeo-Christian heritage, and partly because of Adolf Hitler. The European Marxists were mostly Jews and others on Hitler's list of those most likely to stop bullets.
So, to escape extinction, they came to America and proceeded to develope a scheme to destroy the nation that gave them sanctuary. To achieve this, they adopted the tactics of an Italian Communist, Antonio Gramsci, who advocated something which has come to be called Cultural Marxism.
This kind of revolution involves the introduction, over the course of many years, subtile changes in the attitudes and beliefs of your victims. (One has to be evil incarnate to participate in the development of a scheme that only your great-great grandchildren will see coming to fruition). Use the institutions of higher education first, then propagate these progressive ideas into media and politics. Target youth who, with their natural tendancy to rebel, will be open to idealistic propaganda and utopian dreams. Destroy the family with many different alternatives. Infiltrate institutions of relegion and corrupt their doctrine, making them ineffective agents of social strength and preservation. Liberate women through the advocacy of divorce and abortion. Silence those who question your motives by demonizing them as fascists and marginalize their arguments as backward. Religate them to the ridiculous. Do it often enough and you'll never have to address the issues the nay-sayers present because no one takes them seriously any longer.
Today's Pop Culture and Political Correctness are but two of the results of this Gramscian scheme. Several generations of people who believed they were becoming independant thinkers were actually being manipulated and dumbed-down, having their values shaped by others who were, and still are, dedicated to their ultimate destruction.
While this has not been a comprehensive treatist, it is enough to let us say, yes, we know what the problem is. The real question we should be raising is How can we undo this?
Hindsight is always 20/20. We can see how it happened. We know the names of the players, but what is missing is a cognative response to combat the evil these Gramscians have done.
Why don't people stand up in defense of their rights today? Because they have been trained, conditioned and manipulated to seek pleasure and safety. Self-indulgence is their primary goal and chasing after wealth is the second, necessary to satsify the first. We have become a nation that demands big government programs. Political party differences have faded, and now, it's become more of a popularity contest than serious contention over values, ideals and for principles. Inter-dependance is good, independance is bad. Women are too busy with their career ambitions, to say nothing of the negetive effects of feminism, to have and raise families. As a consequence, our society is dying the death of attrition.
It'll take a lot more than the Second Amendment to save this nation from the grave it's digging for itself. Usually, I have someing to offer as solution to a given problem. Although not all my ideas have been realistic, or even all that good, I have always believed that pointing out problems without offering up a corrasponding solution was about as productive and valuable as rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
To this problem, I have no solution what so ever to offer. Unless we who value that which as been stolen from us can figure out how to do a Gramsci-in-reverse, I'm afraid that it's only a matter of time before these united States of America become, to our collective determent, the Balkinized Regions of North America.

The fact is, I am the only one in this household with an interest in politics, he could care less and never gives it a thought until a situation bites him on the nose. He votes Republican religously and never misses a vote, but if he ever felt his family threatened, or in immediate danger, Big Boy would be out of control.
For most citizens, things are just not that bad yet. If a man and his wife have steady jobs, can provide a good life for the kiddo's, and enjoy each other, most feel the world can go it's own way, and for now that is as it should be.
There is no Town Square where men meet to talk anymore, where ideas and opinions are exchanged, where revolutions are birthed. Most men have been taught that Religion and Politics are not polite topics, not only that, most people are isolated from each other even if they live next door.
The net is changing that, site's like this one are a great place for discussion and as can be seen, there is no glue, no one idea fostered even here. We battle each other over issues. No the author of this piece is way off, we have by no means exhausted the different peaceful means to make changes to government. I have to give gruding respect to foul liberal socialist though, they meet, they are pro-active, they get their will and their agendas met. Somehow we have to play catch up.
Sorry sweetheart, but the astronomical ratings for these shows are driven by WOMEN viewers. Women in America have, for years, bitched and whinned about how men aren't "sensitive", well now they got it, a nation of girl-men. I hope all the femenazis enjoy reaping what they've sown.
Those who buy in to "PC" and "female liberation", single parent families, and gay marriages are hardly close to human,much less men.
Freedom comes from faith - not from big government and taxation in extremis. Faith and fear cannot "co-exist".

Should the "real men" this author is seeking squash the opposition and one of the major forces destroying our country - the socialist women? What, should we just take them out and shoot them all?
Blame the men - I say stick up your a$$. The real men are busy keeping their own family afloat against the overwhelming tide of liberals and taxation. You'll see the real men come back once the country is in total chaos - at the point where they’d have no choice but to give up hope protecting their individual families. It'll be too late then to save the wealth and comfort that this county had before the women became a major political force. Men gave women the right to vote – ever since then the women have been moving this country to the left.
I would like to point out that women supported Clinton far more than men did. So much for that argument!
