Wow. I guess Sierra Times got swatted over the ADA, and they had to print this drivel.

Even though we all agreed last night to go and get Registered ....

I hope that isn't a threat.

With the new computers, you can just speak and listen to your own computer, rather than typing. Most people loved them. But these computers can also look back at you. They had to in order to read the Registration from the hand or forehead. It became so convenient and popular that all the business did all their customer transactions on the Network. With all those terrorists running around, the government said, this was the safest, cheapest and most reliable way to do business.

You can argue about the details, but you can't argue with the trend: we are headed towards mandatory ID. Not so bad in itself, but deadly when combined with expansive government. Think about mandatory vaccinations, mandatory abortions based on genetic testing, followed by mandated careers. Perhaps mandatory religion as a concession to the "right wing".

blessed mother of macrame... interesting story. A combination of "The Terminator", "Left Behind"...

Not sure if I should start packing for the Mountains, or buy a truckload of Reynolds Wrap.

I know there are still plenty of freepers out there who think this can't possibly happen. If you had told someone 50 years ago that prayer would be banned in schools, or you could be jailed for calling a homosexual a faggot, or for bringing a butter knife to school, would they have believed you? Or would they have told you it could never happen.? The under the skin, registration technology is here..it started with implanting dogs with chips so they wouldn't get lost..and now a human family has actually had this same type of technology implanted, but it could never happen, right? They will never outlaw guns completely, they will never jail you for owning a Bible, and they would never force nationwide registration ID on anyone, would they? Just keep telling yourselves that..

It arrived via e-mail with no
 e-mail headers whatsoever.

This would appear to be impossible, except I had something
very similar happen to me a couple of years ago.  We were
trying to assess what Y2K would do to the computer systems
at work.  We changed the clock date on the computers to the
the 1922, the advanced to 2022 to see what would happen.
The application programs survived the change, but while
in the 1922-29 clock time, we started getting strange email.

I kept some of the, sans headers unfortunately, just like
above.  Here are some samples.

Subject:  That bitch

Warren,
I know you have been seeing your little trollop
behind my back in New York and Ohio.  But really,
the White House cloak room is just too blatant.  The
usher heard everything and told me.  If you don't
stop this now,  the Alaska trip will be the most
miserable time you have ever had.  Be warned.

Subject: Now, Darling

My darling, I can no longer maintain the premise of
chaste aloofness.  Bugger the congregation.  Let's
head for Mexico.  I'll fake a drowning at the beach.
It's foolproof.  My heart is exploding.  Say yes.

Hank,
It's all set.  We start dumping the
Victrola stock Friday.  Don't worry,
this market is invulnerable.  What
could happen?  Buy now.

Who says? You aren't stamping me with some kind of ID. The only two people that know where I'm located at every moment of every day are the Good Lord and myself. And I'll be keeping it that way
