I hear that, upon hitting the mauve-lilac-lavender alert, we might as well just bunker down and stay home...

Still, the only reason for stealing them is for issuing false documentsTo be a little more precise, these are stamps which would be entered into an existing passport.
Since no law enforcement agency in the United States (including, apparently, the INS) has any interest in one's visa status, the stamps are pretty much useless aside from "minor" things such as getting a driver's license, validating (false) employment status, getting an SSN.

I'll say it one more time, neither you nor I like it, but thats the way it is.Yup. As Fly told Babe, "Only dogs and cats are allowed in the house. Pigs stay outside. That's just the way it is."

Holy Crap! I bet it was an inside job. Why would a gun be at the INS.. doesn't that sound strange? Isn't just an agency that administrative staff would work out of.. no one like an officer...right? I would think anyone needing a gun at the INS would have it on them as a concealed firearm.. Any comments about this? That sounds kind of fishy! 4 posted on 6/3/02 7:44 AM Pacific by tray-sea [ Post Reply
RIGHT, I would bet it weas an inside job, for sure!!

I so agree. It all goes 3 times for the INS. Commerce, Education, INS: why, oh why, are these things allowed to operate this way? Because government employees are a huge voting block for the left.

Thanks for the info. I heard on the news that only one of those stamps was serialized, however, that could be the media hyping up this story. -T

Washington Dispatch Exclusive: Breakin at I.N.S. Creates Massive Security BreachHow would the INS know? "Security breach" is their middle name.

Well ... speaking of fishy ... Just yesterday our local San Diego media informed us the FBI in San Diego are checking out our local scuba diving shops. I'm sure you all remember that in the last few days there have been reports of the FBI asking people to be on the lookout for unusual happenings regarding scuba gear. The premise for me is that they are planning to attack a nuke plant which is located on the water.
This news alone is not conforting. And ... in lieu of this latest botch job at the INS, it's even more discomforting ... mainly because both of these areas have massive military groups - including all kinds of ships; i.e., aircraft carriers, subs, etc. This is well publicized, so I'm not telling you anything that is not already well known by the public.

Think the Seattle cell could be associated with this theft? The ones with the wanna-be training camp in Bly, OR and the ones associated with the Dar us Salaam Mosque?
