Actually, the worst of it is past. Most of the offending priests have are retired or put under wraps. These lawsuits almost all refer to things done 20-30 years ago. The scandal now is becaue the few rotten bishops ran out of funds for hush money. And Rome does not keep Stalinist-complete control on the Dioceses; Rome does not micromanage them, nor does it have a gang of undercover informants in the manner of the government of a State. Even the seminaries are being cleaned out and look, the "Catholic" colleges are up against it now, to be either Catholic or drop the name and ties. However, those of a certain mind about Catholics or perhaps about Christians see this all primarily as a chance to bring the Church low, or to bring Religion low, or whatever. For such people the "the Church is all fags" is just another in their aerenal of slogans and does not relate to reality and certainly not to knowledge.

I don't believe it. We keep reading about seminaries where HALF of the seminarians are homosexual, where a great many of those (the majority) engage in active homosexuality, and where many of them flaunt their homosexuality. Along with that goes a complete repudiation of the Church's teaching on sexuality. - I do agree that Rome doesn't keep Stalinist control over the semiaries or the Bishops. The problem is they don't keep ANY control. The have allowed the Church here to become an active queer Church. And I don't see any indication that they have the guts or resolve to fix that.
