It certainly is. I moved to VA from MD 10 years ago and would never go back.I moved to VA 5 years ago from Maryland. Best decision I ever made.

I thought it meant "Land of the Flowers." Or are you being facetious?

I'm in Virginia and while there are the usual number of suspects from the left there are many of us conservatives here working to right the wrong from the left. I live in Reston with family in Charlottesville. I know of what you speak.

I thought it meant "Land of the Flowers." Or are you being facetious? The first is a literal translation from the Spanish. My meaning is clear the first time you see one of our Palmetto Bugs -- they are fine for roping and riding!
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Well that's what I thought. I've seen your bugs (during vacation) and while I like FL., I have to admit that many of them rival the dive bombers that they call mosquitos in Louisiana.

Virginia is MUCH more conservative than Maryland. It certainly is. I moved to VA from MD 10 years ago and would never go back. I moved to Maryland from California two years ago. Strangely enough, even though nearly 3,000 miles apart, the politics in MD seem remarkably similar to the SF bay area.
