Deputy Shoots, Kills Defendant In Milwaukee Courtroom Posted: 11:51 a.m. CDT May 29, 2002 Updated: 12:05 p.m. CDT May 29, 2002 MILWAUKEE -- There has been a shooting on the third floor of the Milwaukee Public Safety building in downtown Milwaukee. WISN 12 News was told that a defendant pulled a gun and shot a sheriff's deputy in the abdomen/groin area. A bailiff in the courtoom shot and killed the defendant. The defendant, a 20-year-old male, was on trial for felony murder and armed robbery. |

Remember the case in Baton Rouge on TV some years ago where the father of the victim (his 3 year old boy) shot the perp in the airport as they were bringing him back. Right in front of the deputies. He got off. A jury of his peers in Baton Rouge saw to it.
This is his page from CCAP (you'll have to go in through this url and agree to their terms before the site is accessed). This, of course, does not include his juvenile record, which I presume is at least as extensive as his adult record.
For a translation of the terms in the case numbers, the first two digits are the year, the two letters following are the type of action (CF is Criminal Felony, CM is Criminal Misdemeanor, SC is Small Claims).
Once you get into a record search on his name (select 25 as the number of records returned), click on the case number and you can check out the charges. Once inside the case summary, click on the "court record events" to see what happened in the court case. These are usually the notes of the clerk of courts. If you'd like, I can also post a summary of his charges. It's about the same as this one--with the two small claims court cases omitted.

Oh, one other code: FO is forfeiture, usually a ticket of some sort.
Of course, there was the day one of the law firms' clients stopped into the office to find out when his court date was & I found out he was going on trial for 1st degree sexual assault....GULP. I'm very glad the lawyer who took those types of felonies moved on.
But Wisconsin is so liberal......didn't they buy just a whole buttload of copies of It Takes a Village? I'm incredulous....
