Our fine previous NC gov; the lovable perky jim hunt left us with the greatest education administration and smartest kids with over a billion dollar surplus (so every dem and newspaper says). Then, here comes another "I care for you Dem gov in Mr. easley...WOW, within a year we went from a billion dollar surplus to over a billion dollar deficit; a swing of over 2 billion dollars.....Think the surplus was really there???

The deficit in NC is 2 billion now. The Charlotte Observer this morning had discussion about how the state legislature in Raleigh intends to decouple the state tax from the fed. So, although you can deduct $3,000 in IRA contributions for the 2002 tax year on your fed return, you will only be able to deduct $2,000 from your NC state return. That's criminal. Why do the good people of NC vote democrat? We need to throw the liberals out on their ears! Vote conservative!
