NewsMax Article .... with 90 replies, but near as indept as your article from The Sunday Oklahoman.
I sense flustration in Sen. Nickles with President Bush and he may be just waiting to see the outcome of the 02 races to see if he thinks control can be returned to the Republicans in 04. However I suspect he'll continue to be somewhat flusterated by President Bush and his signing of some bills.

Nickles is great and I hope Republicans will vote him Leader. He's more the type Republicans need because he calls the Demonrats on their bull***t. Lott just isn't doing very well in the position. It will be a sad day if he decides to leave the Senate. He's one of the better ones, if not the best. The GOP should put him on tv a lot, use him to get the message out. He's got a regular guy feel to him, he's really likeable, and he gets the message out there. Nothing gets by him with Demonrat schemes. He's a true straight-talker.

You will not find a straighter shooter than Sen Nickles! All Senators would do well to follow his lead! I sure hope the rumors I am hearing are true and that he is going to challenge Lott! He is just what we need in the Senate!

Well things are looking up a little in relations between the WH and my Senator. Think Rove now taking over more responsibility for advising will be just what the conservatives are looking for!

"BTW -- if Sen Nickles decides not to run in 2004, I predict that Cong J.C. Watts (R-OK) will be the next Senator from Oklahoma!"
I'd like to see him be President some day.

Every thing she does or says is very calculated...for her run for the Presidency. I'm betting 2004. Hitlery is a lot of things, but she's not stupid. Why risk going against a popular incumbent in 2004? Plus she'd have to fight through a whole mess of Dem presidential wanna-be's. It makes no sense. She'll wait to run in 2008, after she's won re-election to the Senate. If she runs at all.

Nickles said, "If we're going to have an investigation, we should have an investigation
of why we didn't respond strongly to previous acts of terror.
The only thing this investigation will reveal is that President Clinton was surveilling
interns, not terrorists.
A few months back, some former advisor to Bill Clinton (last name something like Barbour?)
was on McLaughlin's "One On One" interview show.
I was suprised that the fellow vented his frustration with Clinton basically ignoring
all his advice to take threats from terrorists seriously.

Didn't know if it had been posted on the weekend, but when I found it hadn't, I wanted to share what a real Senator sounds like! As a sidenote, Sen Nickles PAC donated $10,000 to Jeffords when Jeffords came begging for money for re-election. Don't know if Jeffords ever paid his PAC back but from the sounds of it, I don't think he has!

President Watts definitely works for me! He is a wonderful Congressmen for our district and for America!

Thanks for the ping......
Nickles has no slack in his rope...I think he knows a female dog when he sees one.
