Re BCCI, I really don't know the details. But there's nothing in the WSJ editorial which indicates he was covering up for anyone there.

I see you don't read the WSJ on a regular basis. They asked plenty of questions about the wisdom of Mueller's appointment. The WSJ has also published many ariticles about unanswered questions about the first Bush administration's handling of the BCCI affair.

Perhaps you saw CSPAN tonight? Where Ashcroft introduced and lavishly praised Mueller? Pointing out his Bronze Star, Purple Heart, etc etc as a marine in Vietnam. This is silly. None of you guys are even qualified to criticize him.

Perhaps I don't read the WSJ? I don't have to read the WSJ to know what Bob Mueller's all about. I have seen his leadership these many months and I know the record. All you guys are doing is asking a bunch of inuendo-laden questions of a war hero helping to lead an important federal agency during wartime. Read this.

These weirdos are criticizing a decorated marine in this thread. Can we have a separate Freep website for people who think it's per se patriotic just to criticize everyone, just anyone, who works for the federal government? Where they can all just drool at each other? They're going after Ashcroft's right-hand man here, ya gotta wonder who's next. So much for unity in war time. C'mon Dave, isn't there some like Marine Freep group that comes in here and cleans up this silliness? Sigh, suppose not . . . .
