A touching note on the consideration the US Government has for those conducting an unarmed invasion of our nation.

James Ziglar cares more for the welfare of illegal invaders than for the safety and well being of American citizens. I'm touched by the INS' demonstration of compassion. Let' dispense with the silly beacons and just tear down the entire border fence and dismantle the Border Patrol. Its a waste of taxpayers' money if they won't enforce the laws to begin with.

This is a great idea. Once we locate and find these illegal aliens at the "Safety Towers", we can arrest them, document them and kick them out of the country with the warning that next time, we will let them roast in the sun.
The next thing you know, the Federal Reserve will be handing out bullet-proof vests to bank robbers to ensure their safety during bank heists.

Why don't they just provide air conditioned Grey Hound Buses with a stewardess to serve cold drinks, and be done with it?

Hmmm. Pepper Spray Deterrent, huh? To be used on a population that eats peppers everyday? That should prove interesting, if not effective.
Wonder who comes up with these brilliant ideas.

If the beacons don't come equipped with snipers then they're worthless to me.
