Being a liberal is somewhat like saying one understands abstract art; to be a liberal is to be "intelligent" just as understanding abstract art is a sign of "intelligence." Anyone can be liberal just as anyone can paint an abstract painting. All you have to do to be a liberal is find some "social injustice" to champion, hate your own country, and support confiscating other persons's wealth while not lifting a finger to correct the problem.

You got it.

It's the path of least resistance, which is why so many in the arts, academia and other "intellectual" persuasions get sucked in.

Which is why I don't get very excited when someone like Freddie Prinze Jr. professes to be a Republican.

Big deal.

It's not going to draw me into the movie theater to see Scoobie Doo, any more than Turner Broadcasting's (now canceled) production of Atlas Shrugged would make me want to watch CNN.

Random anomalies in a sea of slime.
