You have a great memory! Good find. She wasn't far off. Much closer than DCPD.

Ramsey just said that they don't want certain info getting out because it may alert the perp. And that that kind of reporting is irresponsible.

There are over 2800 acres in Rock Creek Park. The police searched 1700 mostly accessible acres last year. That's about five times the size of Monaco.

For a classic example of the incompetance of the DC police, you might want to check out
THIS POST. If they can't find a friggin' truck, how are they going to find a body in the woods?

The police used dogs in their search last year, and they should have been able to pickup a trail -- even an old one. The dogs at the time weren't even able to detect a meaningful track just outside her apartment. If she had gone jogging, there would have been a trail.
Secondly, the report that I heard this morning was that while Chandra was wearing running clothes she was not wearing her running shoes. She was wearing another type of shoe apparently not designed specifically for running. Her body was in excess of 4 miles from her apartment and it's not likely she would go that far on foot without the proper shoes.
I'm betting that she caught a ride with somebody, possibly Condit himself, and that's who did the deed.
The authorities are also saying that she was bound. I'm betting that she was also drugged. Hopefully, this kind of evidence will narrow the field of suspects.

Our only hope is Brad Garett's partner on the case.. the real life 'Clarice Starling' at the FBI.
I doubt she would participate in a coverup.

A great show! Always enjoyed watching Quincy doing his job.

The Washington Post reported that police search teams didn't reach the exact spot where Levy's remains were found, because the site was several hundred yards beyond the range of their standard search methods. Better revise those search methods, Chief! Let's face it, you and your guys blew it!

Just one more question, Congressman Condit...
To: Polybius
A Park that can swallow up an entire Civil War fort in it's woodlands can easily swallow up a human body. Easy now. We'll not be interjecting logic into the "Bash the Police at all costs" threads. Please relocate. :-)

Don't leave out Prince Bandar.

And weren't there doubts about Garrett's methods in the Kanzi case?
If Garrett's dubious methods become clear in this new high-profile case, do we get another look at the Starbucks murders?
To: codebreaker
Forget that trendy Jerry Bruckheimer CSI schlock...
Quincy and Sam will get to the bottom of this murder!

Note that that highlighted area does not include the Klingle Mansion. Unless the D.C. police are even dumber than I thought, they surely must have searched around the mansion after the news came out about Chandra calling up a Klingle Mansion map on her computer.

With the lack of 'soft tissue' can they still determin if she was pregnant or not?

Who says they couldn't find Gore War Vet's truck? They didn't want to find it until it became clear that the case was too high-profile for them to dare run their towing scam on it.
