What's the story on the "investigation" of Mae Beavers? There was a short blurb on WSMV 10 pm news. I missed it, but someone said they are trying to say she doesn't live in the district she's running for Senate in? (I imagine it's a lame attempt by pro income taxers to intimidate her)

Hmmm.... bringing responsible government to Tennessee might be part of the answer. An elected Premier with a seat in a unicameral Legislature with a Cabinet drawn from it and having to defend his policies before the state might not be bad idea. If the government of the day loses a vote on an issue of collective responsibility it should resign and new elections be called immediately. With an end to gerrymandering and safe seats for the two parties it would keep them on their toes. Right now they're arrogant, aloof, and out of touch with the voters. The real issue isn't an income tax, its governmental reform.
