It might be useful to call a truce, step back from the finger-pointing about who in the government made what mistakes before Sept. 11, and look for a moment at who was doing things right.

Much of the information upon which these men reached their conclusions was available to the rest of us. Why weren't we as perceptive as Rick Rescorla et al.?

The way to foil the next attack is the exact same as the Allies did to the Germans, Italians and the Japanese in World War II.

Completely destroy their ability and desire to make war. Bomb them and their cities into smithereens until they come begging for unconditional surrender.

Hopefully the sleeping giant (USA) won't hit the snooze button and will wake up and come out swinging.

You know, I just have to comment on what seem to me grossly unfair remarks made over and over about this administration. Do you even realize that this new administration have had their hands full trying to plug all the holes left by 8 long sorry pathetic years of treasonous acts by the previous administration?

Give W and his team a break, for crying out loud! I'm constantly impressed by what they're accomplishing. Maybe they're not perfect, but it's a darn sight better than what we had to endure before.
