Well, I've been to Puerto Rico. Would you count that as part of America?
Anyway, I did see Flamingo dancing and I thought that was spectatular. But I just missed the bullfights, since they were in May. It's too hot in late June for the bullfights. Oh well, some day perhaps.
Still, it was a lot of fun to be in Spain. Especially in Madrid, where people are always outside walking just having a good time during midnight or so on a weekday! I guess Americans are squares with our early bedtimes! J/K.
Sounds like you had fun in Madrid. The first Flamingo dance we went to we couldn't figure out why no one was setting in the front row, right next to the stage, so we sat there. Once the dancers started it didn't take long to see that setting next to the stage was like walking up behind someone who is using a power saw on some plywood.LOL! Oh well, we survived and had a great time.
Did you make it to the Prada Museum or any other neat places? Shopping was always fun too.
It only makes sense to me that Free Republic needs to be better organized so we can transform ourselves into a force that will permanently affect American politics. Leaders like Trent Lott have failed to lead. It is our turn to lead. There can be no alternatives.
Actually, I did not make enough time to attend that museum. But I did see the palace, and the Museum of the Army, just to name a few in Madrid. My favorite museums include those with arms, history, and glorious paintings of Spanish history. I also visited the Roman Adequect at Sergovia (sp?) and the Castle in Barcelona.
While in Spain, I learned especially a lot about the Spanish Civil War and the resulting aftermath as Franco gained power. It was all very interesting.
