Thanks for posting this - it is still my belief that the Cascades are indeed waking up. Hopefully not too violently - something a little more benign than in 1980, thank you. This should be an interesting spring thaw, for sure.

I remember it well. I was at home in Florence Oregon, about 200 miles away from the volcano. Even at that distance, the sound of the explosion could be heard.
We joked "there went the mountain!" Didn't know that it really was.
