"Why do you have a fire extinguisher in your kitchen, if you've never had a kitchen fire?" "Why do you wear a seatbelt while driving, if you've never been in an accident?"

The list of this sort of questions can go on and on... Interesting how a writer can ignore the obvious when they're writing a propaganda piece.

Bingo. As someone who's experienced kitchen fires and auto collisions, and was ready for them, I also intend to be ready when/if someone comes to do harm to me and/or take my stuff. But if I was a criminal, I'd be looking at Larda** Moore's house, now that I know his only weapon isn't loaded.

I was visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon a few years ago, and to my surprise noticed that a high overhanging lookout point had NO guardrails. I asked the ranger about it, and he said "well we used to have guardrails, but no one fell off so we took them down."
