I have said from the beginning that there would be a backlash...in talking with regular South Dakotans on the street, I find that they are disgusted with the 'Obstructionist-in-Chief'.

The lady who cut my hair this morning told me that she thought Daschle was just 'in it for himself'.

It would seem that back home, the bloom is coming off the rose.

If anyone is interested in an inside look at how Daschle has stayed in power...by convincing gullible South Dakota Republican voters that he is a 'good guy', and 'for the little guy', here is an old ABC interview with Daschle while he was out and around our beautiful State.

I ask people to examine this issue, in the hope that everyone will have a little talk with their friends and relatives in SD about how badly the Daschle Democrats are hurting our country.

Regards...EV

In addition to talking to friends and relatives in South Dakota, it'd be nice if tourists to S.D. would just happen to mention their displeasure with Daschle specifically and the democratic party in general.

These tourists should also ask SD citizens, "If you still vote democratic but yet you voted for President Bush, why?" They can't ALL be getting SWEETHEART DEALS and feel a sense of obligation to Daschle.

Maybe the split ticketers will have to ultimately decide between Dubya's party and Daschle's party once and for all. How can they begin to justify that they voted for President Bush and also his exact opposite, Tom Daschle; completely opposite philosophies and personalities. One is a uniter and the latter always puts politics first. Always.
