You beat me to it. If Cheney doesn't want to stay on, Condi would be a great VP in 2004. Then she would be a shoo-in for president in 2008. This must be a nightmare for Democrats. Be 2016 before they have a shot at inflicting another Clinton on us.

Blacks must be wondering now why, when they vote 90% Democrat, they don't have one US Senator. If they voted even 50% GOP, they would have several.

Yeah, Condi 2008 is a Demagogue Party nightmare for sure. If nothing else, I'd get sadistic pleasure out of seeing that, I tell ya! But given the Repugnant party's slogan "Don't count your Hatches before they chicken!" I'm very sceptical that they would have the guts to put her up in 2004 instead of the usual next in the country club line, whoever that might be (another Dole?) Wait and see...
