Secretary of State Colin Powell said Wednesday that the latest suicide bombing in Israel has endangered the hopes of pushing forward with peace talks in the Middle East. He says this after every attack. It means nothing. They will continue according to The Plan unless and until it becomes impossible to follow anymore. They refuse to call Arafat a terrorist; does anyone think a few more Israeli deaths are going to change that?
The future invasion of Iraq will proceed at all costs.

I've come to the conclusion that the State Department is not, and never has been in touch with reality. The State Department sounds almost like an extension of the EU.

The amazing insight of our Sec. of State is eclipsed only by our presidents deeper insight which he shared with us after 9-11 by saying "Islam is a religion of peace". These guys are nuts, its time to start digging bomb shelters!

"endangered the hopes of pushing forward with peace talks in the Middle East. "'talks' are just a Kabucki dance for posturing and won't solve anything. If Bush wants a Palestine State, then use leadership - show the world the beef (map and timetable). If Bush doesn't want a Palestine State, then say so. Time to sh't or get off the pot.

The ball is in Yassir's court. If he wants to demonstrate that he's in charge and that he wants peace, he'll shut down Hamas and turn over the perps to the tender mercies of the Mossad. Otherwise, loose the dogs of war, and let the IDF start takin' care of business.

"... Colin Powell said Wednesday that the latest suicide bombing in Israel has endangered the hopes of pushing forward with peace talks... "And he figured this out all by himself?
To: Oldeconomybuyer
"We must keep moving forward. We must find a way through this crisis," Powell said. Yes, we must move forward. We must stop harping at Israel and let them destroy the PA.

The ones in power - in charge of these idiots who are incited to blow themselves up - will never stop this as long as they think they have something to gain and there is a supply of fools to exterminate themselves. But, if some of the Palestenian people saw a reason to actually hope for a better life for their children by accepting peace, if someone would reach them with this message, then maybe there would be fewer bombers. It won't ever be their current leaders, I think we need to find a new leader to deal with, one who understands he will profit by peace.

The State Department is loaded with anti-americans......many of whom were placed there by Jimmy Carter. They are the same folks who served in the Clinton administration.
Many many of these people continue to do their dirty work, thanks to their numbers being increased by clinton.

I've come to the conclusion that the State Department is not, and never has been in touch with reality. The State Department sounds almost like an extension of the EU. That is exactly right. Total morons divorced from reality. Dick Morris has a wonderful piece from yesterday accusing them of having their head up their a$$ since after WWII, not to mention that its been packed by northeastern, country club, anti-Semites since FDR as well. Even Henry Kissinger could not change the culture there.
