I know how much hate they have for him, and I understand. There are alot of black conservatives with his opinions that could have been put on the bench, he was chosen. I can not stand, watching, somone who I believe can make a differance by being more vocal and outspoken like Scalia, stand and simply be right. Maybe I'm a perfectionist, or holding Thomas to the same standard as Scalia, but its wasted talent to me. Its like watching somone play baseball, and do good, when you know if he wanted to be, he could be a hall of famer. Thomas is a good player on the conservative team, but he has a chance to be a great one, he just needs to grab it.

I understand. I could say that about practically many elected Republicans I know of. Many are too scared to reach for the sky ... and that saddens more than anything ...
