Sex workers in Tasmania are in for a hectic week after a Perth brothel was foced to close when prostitutes were left exhausted after an influx of United States Saliors.
The aircraft carrier, USS John C. Stennis, with a crew of about 5,000, is due on Hobart Monday after a trip to Western Australia this week in which the famous Langtrees brothel closed because the prostitutes were so worn out they could not provide quality service.
Family Planning Tasmania last night used the impending visit to promote its message of safe sex.
Executive director Paul Duncombe said he believed sailors would be issued with condoms.
'The United States and the Australian Navy promote safe sex because they do not want their sailors getting sexually transmitted infections,' Mr. Duncombe said.
A lot of people will be having sex with people they don't know very well and we would stress that there is consent and the sex is safe.
'It is unrealisitic to tell people not to have sex but they should be aware of STD's and without wishing to scaremonger, HIV-AIDS.'

Its legal, and apparently cheap.
$10.00 US for 5 hours of 'company' for the soldiers.

Tried the link, and it didn't work. :(
And how about our sailors actually wearing out prostitutes!

"Executive director Paul Duncombe said he believed sailors would be issued with condoms." Despite the fact that it's somewhat less expensive to issue them without condoms.....

I just have a problem becuase by giving the sailor a condom they are endorsing the bordello sex act.
Let them take their own money and buy the condoms..not have any goverment give it to them on ship.
To: Razwan
Too bad they'd be arrested and tossed in jail in the ol' homeland.

And the US sailors can spread their 5 hours of 'company' for $20.00 Australian over the ENTIRE WEEK.
Talk about a government discount! Those sailors probably can't stand up straight when they get into port.
I think the rate for civilians is about $50 in Australia for the same deal.
