Why wasn't there a Drudge C-SPAN Thread? [Are East Coast Freepers Lazier than West Coast Freepers?]

In answer to one caller, Drudge revealed his religious affiliation. A neo-nazi once called into his radio show, trying to get Drudge to agree with him on a "Jewish Conspiracy." Drudge matter-of-factly stated that he "happened to be Jewish."

Oh, and maybe the most remarkable thing was that Drudge gets $0.15 every time you click on his banner ad. That's orders of magnitude larger than I would have guessed. [Remember, the guy gets hundreds of millions of hits a month, so if only a tiny percentage of his listeners click on the ad, then we're talking some serious dough.] He's used the proceeds to buy a white Corvette [convertible?], model year 2000 or 2001, and to upgrade to a Miami Beach penthouse.

I would have watched if I'd known it was on.
In answer to one caller, Drudge revealed his religious affiliation. As far as I know, that's the first time he's ever spoken on the matter. Subsequently, at least one caller used some pretty harsh language in reference to it.
Oh come on. Details, please. As best as you can reconstruct from memory. Some of the vilest and stupidest people in the world call in to C-Span to rant, this should be very instructive.

[Are East Coast Freepers Lazier than West Coast Freepers?] Yes. We we're all busy sitting on the couch, watching Jerry Springer and eating pork rinds.

FWIW........my overall impression of Matt was that he did an excellent job of dealing with the callers.
He was well informed on the day's headlines from around the country.
His comments about the danger of all the media mergers were well thought out and well articulated.
Brian Lamb seems to have a hard time taking Matt seriously.......most likely jealousy IMO.

BTTT out of curiosity. I hope more people heard the show or know something about this and post it here.

[Remember, the guy gets hundreds of millions of hits a month, so if only a tiny percentage of his listeners click on the ad, then we're talking some serious dough.] Good for Matt. It's the American way, and I applaud his success. I still click on his site first everyday for an overview of the news (but no ads). Then I go to Lucianne for her shortcuts and picture. And then I go to FreeRepublic for the rest of the day and in depth coverage and commentary.
FreeRepublic is my home, but Matt Drudge brought me here in the first place.

C-SPAN has basically become unbearable, due to the blatant one-sidedness of the callers/call-screeners. When I stopped listening (I still have C-SPAN radio on car and home radios) a few months ago, the ratio was about 5 anti-conservative to 1 conservative. They still let the "Bush didn't win, was a drunk draft dodger" callers rant on and on.

Drudge is the first news site I visit in the AM and PM. It gives a quick rundown on what's happening. I go to the links that interest me. After Drudge in the AM, I go to the Washington Times. Of course, FR is where I check in through out the day.

I want to know why he does not link to Free Republic, but does link to nutty lucianne. I hope Sean asks him tonight what his reason is.

Who is this Drudge person?

Brian Lamb seems to have a hard time taking Matt seriously.......most likely jealousy IMO.I used to like C-Span -- especially Brian Lamb -- but I gave up on them completely during the last election. I never watch them any more. Lamb, in particular, has a nasty side to him, despite his benign appearance. It doesn't show often; but when it does, it isn't pretty.

I want to know why he does not link to Free RepublicJim Robinson could probably tell you why. There was some discoussion about that here several years ago, but I don't remember the reason. I think that he and Lucianne are friends. After all, Lucianne was his tipster at one point.

My suspicions have now been confirmed.

Thanks for not finishing that sentence. LOL!
I want to know what Drudge had to say about his religious affiliation and I want to know why things got testy between him and Brian Lamb.
I only watch C-Span for live House/Senate hearings and only if they're really big ones at that. I put C-Span and PBS in the same category...click right past them.
To: afraidfortherepublic
You are so right about Brian Lamb........he seems to have moved totally left. When a caller complained about the callers not adhering to the designated lines and suggested going back to the singles lines for each part of the country Brian cut him off mid word.
No criticism of CSPAN allowed.
When the callers wanted to go on and on with their conspiracy theories AGAINST the President they had all the time they wanted.
Since the calls are screened it is clear that CSPAN has an agenda........
