Leahy said he and Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch, ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, needed to talk to their respective party members about a matter he did not want to talk about in open session.
Yeah, yeah, yeah!
Translation?: I gotta make a call to tommy "The Obstructionist" da$$hole first..........

HE went to SMU, huh? He must be "too religious" for Leahy and so Mr. Obstructionist #2 (#1 is Daschle) will wreak his power wand again to block YET ANOTHER Bush nominee!!!

The Dallas Morning News recently did a story on this jurist. The article mentioned that Mr. Bush's choice was nominated due to hard work and that he does the right thing by interpreting the law rather than make it.
Folks, from what I can tell, this nominee for the Federal bench is in no one's pocket - it is obvious the Democraps don't like this.
p.s. Patrick Lehey (D-VT) is a turd. You know, the stuff that comes from all those cows that graze up there.

The laws are specific. They are not written in chinese. They don't need interperating. They need to be enforced.

He is originally from Conroe and earned electrical and mathematics degrees from Southern Methodist University. He worked as an electrical engineer for Texas Instruments for a year before attending Harvard Law School where he earned his law degree. Hmm... and engineer turned lawyer and judge.
I bet the democrats don't want him to be a judge because they know he can think logically, and can read specs/data sheets. And we all know that the US Constitution and Bill of Rights is just one heck of an old data sheet. ;)

He has the liberal look to me.

Well no matter what we think the "people" of socialist VT love their Jeffords and their Dean, their Sanders, and their Leahy. What a quartet!!!!

He**, he get the BIG pork $$'s for his ghost-town population state.
I live in a small town in Texas in Dallas County. Dallas County ALONE has 2x+
more folks than the entire state of SD. But he gets all his PORK programs, doesn't he?.....
