But after months of investigation, the Czechs said they were no longer certain that Atta was the person who met al-Ani, saying "he may be different from Atta," the administration official said. More recently, FBI and CIA analysts who went over thousands of travel records concluded that "there was no evidence Atta left or returned to the U.S." at the time he was supposed to be in Prague, the official said.

There's a concentrated effort in process to put every variation of the 9-11 possible scenarios in front of the public. Then everyone gets to pick the one they prefer.

Remember the Office they cancelled out? Rummy just might have lied to us, huh?

More steaming piles from the Wash Composte heap.

The real question is who is twisting the Czech's arm to recant on this easiliy verifiable assertion?

My vote is that the Administration is trying to manage the public's wrath towards Iraq until we have our arms and armies in place to "unleash hell" on Bagdad.

See this William Safire article posted in the middle of this thread:

On corroboration of the evidence that Atta flew 7,000 miles, from Virginia Beach to Prague and back to Florida (his third trip to Prague in a year): The FBI has car-rental and other records that Atta left for Prague on April 8, 2001, and returned on April 11. The BIS report of the meeting that Saddam's case officer had with the suicide hijacker fell precisely within those dates....

You nailed it. Betrayal of the Bush Doctrine from within.

This is what I noticed. There are many liberals that are still in the State Department that don't like the Bush administration. Time and time again I see articles in the New York Slimes, Washington ComPost, and Newsweak making claims like these with absolutely no listed or named sources. All of them are basically designed to influence policy to be liberal by using their allies in the media. Thats not journalism, thats propaganda.

You're right. And in order to attack Iraq, Bush will have to float many different scenarios in order to stir the people into a war frenzy. He's using the same playbook his father used. Before you know it, we'll have tens of thousands of troops in Iraq, and still no legitimate reason for war will have been given.

Must be something they taught at Yale ----

Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar. – Julius Caesar"

I dont know if Atta was there or not!

Saddy should have been destroyed by Daddy Bush 10 years ago.

But would I want my grandsons going over to kill him?

No!

Do I support a totally volunteer hit squad?

Yes!

So far the war on terrorism has killed a lot of low level grunts.

I think that we are played around with a lot!
