Arafat is playing a foolish game here. President Bush gives people plenty of time to do the right thing. If they don't, big trouble follows. Example: The Taliban.

If Arafat reneges, I hope to God that Bush gives Israel the green light. I will admit that I am losing patience with Bush's stance with Arafat.

In this case, way more than plenty. A 180 at this point is really going to make Bush and Powell look extremely bad. I'd say Arafat won the PR and the diplomatic "war" at this point, wouldn't you?
