Though regretful over the severity of God's punishment, Mideast peace negotiators nonetheless praised Him for coming up with the first-ever viable solution to the ongoing crisis.

As funny (or sad) as this may seem
I bet there are very few here who do believe that this is what it will take to finally bring peace to this area of the world.
The Arabs have proved they wont rest till Israel is theirs and the Jews have been pushed into the ocean.
But, please forgive my lack of biblical knowledge
but didnt God say somewhere that he would never let Israel be destroyed?
Maybe thats why he let Dubya win
=o)

In other news, Bill Clinton commented that he too had thought of this but rejected the idea because it would be, "too ostentatious a show of power."

Death is not the solution; death is the
problem. Though it's true that a flood will stanch this cycle of murder, it's a flood of blood, and that of Christ only. Just as there's no juridical solution to remedy the problem of man's lost salvation, there's no contrivance of politics or force that can suffice to restore peace in the Holy Land. For authentic peace is not a negative thing -- not an absence of hostility -- but something affirmative: a state of reconciliation and accord. There will never be peace on earth -- neither in Bethlehem nor elsewhere -- till men embrace the truth that peace between men, like peace between man and God, derives not from compromise or a balance of terror, but from repentance and forgiveness.
"I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you"
There is no other way. You can't reject this without rejecting life. Which is just what we see today -- on both sides.
