It is a solid disc and I have been very moved by it. Something I was not at all with Test For Echo.

'Dog Years' was painful to listen to. The album was almost as bad as Hold Your Fire.
Considering how many great albums they've had, it's hard to gripe. But you have to call the bad ones when you see them.

Dog Years was a slap in the face. I did not deserve to be exposed to it. Same with Madrigal...not right. LOL...all in all though you can't complain with Rush. Yes some of Neil's beliefs I really really try to look past. The fact that he believes in a random universe you can't believe there is a God because there is no proof. I say to Neil prove there isn't. As he gets older and the hell that he has gone through it is funny watching him have gripes with Angels,God, and Religion all in one song. Then the next album he is talking to "stars" and asking why?

Surely Neil doesn't believe that stars are our spirit in rock and water form does he?? Oooopss...listen to the track Presto and High Water and there is your answer. Maybe Totem? His lyrics on 90% of other songs have hit home and hit a home run though but for the most part his pacifist side does come out more often than I want in Rush's music. But at this point...I will take any Rush I can get.
