In a garage along Route 30 near Ligonier, Drew Mooney chips away at bronze, accurately reproducing the logo of King George II of England.
The 6-pound bronze gun he's chiseling was once on display at Fort Ligonier, but the engraved date wasn't correct. Neither were the fine details of the 18th- century king's logo.

It's been quite a few years since I've traveled on 30, but I don't imagine it's changed much: quite hilly and winding. It certainly IS scenic, but I'd advise tourists to use it only during pleasant weather conditions.
Has it fallen yet? I understand that there are major structural problems with the cantilevered decking.
Use'ta spread gravel on them thar roads in Ligonier for a short season back in '44. A nice town, then. Nice folks. Will always remember the good deeds they did for a young vagabond travelling through.
