the school has a right to enforce a dress code. otherwise you would have topless, see-through etc. attire etc. If girls are showing their butts, it is the perogative of the school to say you can't come to the dance dressed like that. life has rules, deal with it. that is what it means to be a grownup.

False argument. Toplessness, showing your butt, and see-thru clothing are not legal on the public streets, so the same laws would apply in a public school. And again, GOVERNMENT schools do not have "perogatives". They are extensions of the state.

life has rules, deal with it. that is what it means to be a grownup.

Individuals have rights, GOVERNMENT schools do not. Deal with it.
