"...is merlot sweet?"Well Angel?
Like so many other things in life, if it's good; yes, very.
A good Merlot's more than sweet, though; it should be velvety & smooth.
When served with a properly BBQ'd Porterhouse & shared with good company?
Well.
I just don't think life can get any better than that.
...thongs or no thongs.

See post 578 from John Robinson. He disagrees with you about 'No current Freeper by that Name'.

Public schools must have in place due process rules and must adhere to them in their enforcement of codes.I doubt this is true, and if it is true, then operating a public school should be a felony. That would certainly stop this problem.

i see this thread has severely degenerated It's some sort of FR law of nature - after a certain number of posts, any thread is taken over by the degenerates...like me...
I think that, like this thread, the Great Thong Debacle of 2002 is likely to amount to a lot of p*ssing and moaning, but not much else - it'll blow over ;)

Not to fear, I guess I have to track down the source of every subject pic on web from now on..even when I don't know where they are coming from!

You are kidding right? I mean you don't believe there should be ANY restriciton on what can be worn to a school function? should the girls be allowed in in short skirts and NO panties? And where did I say anything about the girls having sex? Isn't flashing your ass bad enough at a school dance? Oh yeah I do believe that dressing sluttish in front of teenage boys does invite problems. It doesn't excuse the boys behavior but it sure doesn't help matters. Just out of curiosity do YOU have any kids? Right now I have a 17 year old boy and a 12 year old daughter. If she tries going out in a few years in a short dress and thong panties it will be the LAST time till she's 21. I'm 17. Check my profile. Did I ever say that there should be no limitations on what is worn to school? You're putting words in my mouth, tsk tsk. The girls shouldn't be allowed to wear extremely short skirts, I don't give a rats ass what kind of panties they're wearing underneath. Send them home for the skirts, not for the kind of underwear they're wearing.

It must be a difficult job checking young girls thong panties all day, lifting skirts and such..

I'm just sorry I missed the pics that caused all the trouble in the first place. No worry though. I know where to find 'em (or similar ones anyways).

JC Penney's thought that such fashion was worth promoting when they had an ad with a mother adjusting her daughter's low hip cut jeans. The mother was sliding them down lower. Penney's did pull the ad but it aired for awhile.

I am surprised at the number of folks who think that thong underwear is suitable attire for high school girls. Why not crotchless panties also? They're more sanitary, at least.
That said, the VP is an idiot. A policy should have been established beforehand. No one should have had their skirt pulled up in the presence of others. The VP could simply have had chaperones look for inappropriate displays on the dance floor or elsewhere, and then immediately eject the offenders.
I can tell you my daughter will be able to choose thong underwear when she's buying her own and supporting herself - not before. The "panty line" argument not withstanding.

Hey, welcome back from the land of the banned ;)
"First thing (my daughter) said when she got into the car was, 'Mom, it was horrible last night.'... Did she pick up her daughter in the morning? Where was her daughter all night?
