Like all intelligence matters, it's hard to tell if this story is credible in any case. When the major intelligence agencies are involved, you never know what is information and what is disinformation. Or, for that matter, what person in government with a political agenda may be leaking disinformation.
MCCULLERS
Seventeen months ago I was posting a walk in Lisbon, and he was there. He never saw me. But I saw him, though.
LARDNER
Lisbon?
MCCULLERS
In Portugal, yes.
LARDNER
Here's the news: He hasn't been in Portugal since '90. I know that from the file. Why don't you read the file, man?
MCCULLERS
In fact, I think I talked with him, in Bonn.
LARDNER
You always say that. You always have to know everybody. Why don't I just take the weekend off and let you kill him. Since you two are so close.

Why would someone like Atta be in Prague in the first place. And the possibility he had been there more often (using false passports)has to yet to be explained.
On my last trip to Europe I was travelling between Austria, Switzerland France and Germany without once having my border crossings recorded. I probably could have driven into Prague a dozen times via back roads without the authorities knowing (I know you need a visa for Czech Republic so don't ping me)
The AUTHOR is none other than the gentleman that was about to publish on MONICA LEWINSKY, if my memory serves me right.........and whose editors at Newsweek squashed the story...........allowing Drudge to get there first!
FYI: This is no third-stringer folks!
Actually, the original story came from the government of Prague, where it was publicly confirmed on separate occasions by the Czech President (Vaclev Havel), Prime Minister (Milos Zeman) and Interior Minister (Stanislav Gross). All the alleged, long-after-the-fact "debunking" of the Atta-Iraq connections have been attributed only to "unnamed government sources" by left-leaning journalists. You figure out what's going on. It ain't hard.
Yes, he's definitely on THEIR side. Nonetheless, I always equate the importance of the article, yea or nay, by considering the source.
Hahahahahahaha.................Yes!
BTW: Issy was on Chris Matthews last night being interviewed about this very same article. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?
Newsweek=Toilet tissue.
Lenin: Always attack the messenger.
Some conservative you are. What about the article??
