"Leroy S. Jenkins was arrested on vagrancy charges...Jenkins, who lost his reparations money by playing the lottery, was homeless, blah, blah, blah." It's a never-ending cycle with these people and Rodney King just proves that money will not make a difference in these people's lives.
I was thinking the exact same thing. This guy gets $3.8 mil and squanders every last penny. If reparations ever go through (and sadly, I'm increasingly thinking they will) it will be the same story.
I'd be willing to bet that 90% of any reparations money paid out is going to wind up in the pockets of the liquor store owners, the crack dealers and the lottery ticket vendors. It will be a huge party at first (time for whitey to leave town) and then it will come to a screeching halt with the recipients broke, not to mention saddled with job losses due to chronic alcoholism, arrest records due to drug convictions and all their new toys in the pawn shops.
Of course then Jesse and Al will scream that "It was only a down payment on the costs of slavery. Give us more!!!"
