I remember Gorgeous George. My aunt was a wrestling fan in the late 'forties, and she used to take me to see the live wrestling in Wilmington, California. Everyone loved to boo Gorgeous George, and he would act very insulted. He was quite a showman, with his long, carefully arranged hair and his cape. Girls would spray perfume down the aisle before he would enter. When he finally came down the aisle, girls holding big fans would fan him. It was fun entertainment, nothing like wrestling is now.

Great memories. I lived in Torrance when I was 5.
My wife says that his house in Banning[?] was painted pink - fences and all.
My wife knew Liberace, too. Should I be concerned after 32 years?
