Neuhaus did a good job emphasizing a return to orthodoxy. O'Brien took the opportunity to recommend a married priesthood to no one's surprise.

Do you happen to know which Bishop is currently responsible for not helping Fr. O'Brien find a more appropriate career?

Neuhaus did a good job emphasizing a return to orthodoxy. O'Brien took the opportunity to recommend a married priesthood to no one's surprise."

That call is coming from everywhere. Stephen Hand, of Traditional Catholic News (www.tcrnews.com) is also calling for married priests.

IMO, all this confusion and calls for married priests, laity populating the Sanctuary, altar girls, Eucharistic Babes, Diocesan Chancellorettes and on and on and on is just the opposite direction we should be heading.

My last two Bishops (Diocese of Palm Beach Florida) have been homosexual perverts. Our current Apostolic Administrator, Very Rev. Seamus Murtagh, celebrated Mass today at St. Edward's in Palm Beach. He was there for the Sacrament of Confirmation for 19 Confirmandi.

He began by omitting The Confiteor. Now, I suppose I could complain to the Chancellorette of the Diocese, but I have gotten only "yes, you are correct" responses (but no corrrective action) when I have reported other examples of Liturgical anomie, and she could report the omission of part of the Mass to Apostolic Administrator Very Rev Seamus Murtagh and he could give himself a stern talking-to.

I guess this is the sort of example of obedience our Hierarchy advances now-a-days.

There were three priests there to concelebrate. Once the Consecration had been effected, two of them split (Bass Tournament on ESPN?) and the Pastor, FR.Francis J. Lechiara, wandered around the Sanctuary straightening stuff up and reading something as he stood on the Epistle side of the altar while Very Rev Seamus Murtagh, one priest and two Eucharistic Babes distributed Communion.

ALL Confirmandi received from the Eucharistic Babe.

Message? Once the Consecration has been done - two priests exited the Sanctuary a.s.a.p. and the Pastor wandered around (I was thankful he had no feather duster handy) looking for something to keep himself occupied.

The message, apparently, is He must decrease and WE must increase.

That's truly disgusting and depressing. Things aren't that bad here yet, but our bishop pulled a Pontius Pilate on the presentation of the Vagina Monologues at the College of the Holy Cross.

No, but few of them seem to be willing to reign in their local nominal Catholic Universities.
