(Dan Burton, [R-Indiana] Investigating) Allegations that Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh is tied to Islamic terrorists.
McVeigh the story goes, met in an Oklahoma City motel with Iraqi agents before the 1995 explosion.
Part Two: Unsubstantiated reports that two 9/11 hijackers holed up with the suspected 20th hijacker Zacarais Moussaoui in the same motel room last July.
Coincedence?
Sources say Burton sent investigators to Oklahoma City to sniff around, tasked three staffers to the probe, and asked David Schippers, who led a house panel on Bill Clinton's impeachment, to advise.
But that's not all:Burton wants more staff.
While there's a lot of circumstantial evidence to investigate, like an allegation that the FBI stopped an agent from looking into the Iraqi angle, the feds say it is a waste of money.

This might pull it all together

The rush to execute McVeigh may have been another Clinton coverup. If it turns out that this is true, Clinton should be drawn and quartered!

HOLY SH** !!!
What is it going to take before someone in Congress or the Justice Department acknowledges the truth ?
Don't they see that this will provide ALL the justification we need for going after Saddam ?

Go to the link. Note the snide tone... doesn't really come through in the annotated version posted above.
Unfortunate, and unsurprising.

I hope so. I don't care one way or another about McVeigh. But if the Arabs were involved AND the Clinton administration used this tragedy for their own cynical politics, it should be known.

But we can ask the 20th hijacker who was at the meeting..
Think he would trade the death penalty for giving up the AL Qaeda -OKC Conspiracy??
To: CROSSHIGHWAYMAN
Rush to execute is right. That ALONE was the tipoff that something was rotten in the state of D.C.
I've always believed that the reason that McVeigh kept quiet, was that Justice had threatened to make a case against his sister, rightly or not, and that he couldn't bear to have her hurt. So he shut his mouth and went to his death quietly.

Bush could talk out Reno and the Clinton Administrations credibility all in one fell swoop if this hijacker rats on the McVeigh meeting.
This would give big time moral authority to invade Iraq..

"The rush to execute McVeigh may have been another Clinton coverup."
I despise klintoon as much as the next person
but the execution of scumbag McVeigh took place in June 2001,
almost 6 months after klintoon was out of office.
In fact it was the 1st federal execution in over 30 years.
It was John Ashcroft who authorized it.

The correct question would be "Would anyone in a position of power want to pursue the OKC-al Queda angle?" . Sadly I think we all know the answer to this one.

Was Ashcroft briefed on this or was it Clinton appointees CYA time...

Burton seems gung ho right now...

Yes, but I have seen enough lately of this Administration continuing Clinton coverups "in the interest of setting a new tone".

Yes, but how much power does he yield. The media and opposition seem to be fairly sucessful at hanging the crackpot label on him . I do not concur with this assessment but how many times has Burton gone off investigating worthwhile issues only to have them killed off by the Media and Rats using this strategy.
