Question: Why post this stuff now, particularly when it comes from a very dubious Arab source? It all happened so long ago, only someone with an agenda would want to draw attention to it.

These people are pro-Palestinians and thus supporters of terror. They want to see Israel swept into the sea, so somebody should be keeping an eye on them.

But again, why post it now?

Israel is fighting for its security and fifth columnists are working to weaken the bonds that make America and Israel allies and partners. You don't have to like Foxman to know that there is no earthly reason to mention this old history.

It's time to put it behind us and move with Israel against the real threat: Arab terrorists

I don't equate ADL with Israel. This appears to be old news but it does not change the fact that Foxman and his ADL crew suck.

The date of the article (25-04-2002) implies that the award by the court just happened last week.

I've seen this case pop up on FR a few times in the last few months, and while some people criticize the source, they don't give any evidence that the allegations are false. Given that "Arab News" appears to maintain an office in DC, they could be hit with libel charges if they made actual false statements of a material nature here

The most interesting thing is that this case generates no coverage by US media. If, for example, we had the NRA compiling information on thousands of anti-gun individuals, and getting inside info passed to them by police, FBI, and other government agents, I'm sure it would be screamed from the front pages of the NY Times and other "mainstream" papers on a daily basis, accompanied by demands for Senate hearings.

Simple answer: Only now, many Jews are beginning to wake up and realize that Conservatives and Christians are actually their friends, although the "Jewish Leadership" (i.e. liberal secular humanists) have spent years telling Jews that these groups are actually their enemies. It's to try to stir up old distrusts...

Clintonesque: source not credible. True enough but this happened. You can read about it in the San Francisco Examiner if you wish:

Adversaries Go Inside ADL's Spying Operation

At least check before you imply a story is phony.

As to bringing this up now, we have a real problem in America. Some of the same people who want us to support Israel 100% will not let America defend herself or effectively fight her war on terror. At least 6 Jewish Senators killed a bill allowing us to drill for oil in ANWR. They kill most every other bill which taps our natural resources. How are we supposed to keep our economy going, how are we supposed to fight Saddam with the least loss of American life when American money is going to Saddam to buy oil?

Exposing the ADL, the Simon Weisenthal Center, the liberals in the congress who are working against America and others is important. Pretending these problems do not exist is silly.

One more consideration: Sharon is not a US General and he is not on the front lines fighting America's war on terror. There are two wars going on. What is in the best interest of Israel is not always in America's best interest and vice versa. We can and will be allies. But that doesn't mean America has to do everything Sharon wants. Nor does it mean we should ignore those in the USA who are just waiting to stick a knife in Bush's back even if it means hurting our war on terror.

so somebody should be keeping an eye on them.

So you're for the domestic spying by a private organization?
