He has a long-standing grudge against the Bush family, and if President Bush said tomorrow that the sky was blue, Kristol would publish an article about how "humiliated" we were by Bush's caving to the sky is blue faction.
Kristol hated GHW Bush, not his son.
The Times prints articles that are loaded with "unnamed sources" and the big article under discussion on another thread is one of them. Very often the unnamed sources can be traced to Kristol.
Oh dozens of other people. The Truth is that the article was very close to what the Saudi regen actually did.
Bill Kristol is not interested in promoting policies helpful to the Republican party.
Evidence please.
Sometimes his "suggestions" are supported by the Times, sometimes not.
Mostly not.
Whatever is divisive to the Republican party is the course he chooses. Always, always he chooses courses that are belligerent and sound good to a large portion of Republicans in the short run (the budget show-down, for example) but in the LONG run do serious damage (as in losing seats in Congress and keeping Bill Clinton on the payroll for an additional 4 years). I have watched this guy smirk and make sarcastic comments about President Bush for over a year. His dislike of George Bush is not based on my opinions, but rather on Presidient Bush's dislike of the divisiveness he caused in the former Bush Administration and his propensity to leak to the Washington media.
I am not the only one who sees this, and I am far from the only person who distrusts Kristol.
