I just can't see how anyone could argue that Law should stay in office.

I worry that the analogy will be made with pro-abortion priests; they're able to stay on, and cause even more harm. Why then not the odd NAMBLA man? Tolerance of dissent makes a hospitable environment for even more egregious dissent and even illegal forms of advocacy.

Check out this "gem" from Notre Dame's McBrien:

The Rev. Richard McBrien, a prominent theologian from Notre Dame University, raised the issue recently in comments about the sex abuse scandal. "One of the good things that will come out of this crisis is that the Catholic Church, at least at the official level, will no longer be able to speak out on sexuality. The church's concern with sexuality has been obsessive," he said. (source)
This crisis is the one area where obsession with sexuality is justified, and here we have theologians still trying to push their stinking agenda of "liberation" and "liberalization."

That is one of the stupidest quotes I have seen in a long time. And to think he was so clueless as to allow himself to be quoted on it?!

Fr. McBrien wrote Mario Cuomo's speech for delivery at once Catholic Notre Dame University on how Mario could be a Catholic politician enabling and supporting abortion. McBrien is incardinated in the Archdiocese of Hartford, Connecticut, and last served in a parish in about 1962 at Our Lady of Victory parish in West Haven, Connecticut. If he is still incardinated in Hartford, his rebellious mouth can be shut by Archbishop Daniel Cronin (who came to Hartford from Fall River, Massachusetts and is yet another member of the Boston ecclesiastical club who spends half his life at his cottage on Cape Cod). Don't hold your collective breath waiting. Cronin's basic M.O. is to sell off Catholic High Schools and spend the money on ?????

Now there's a beauty for ya...the Early Fathers would have excommunicated this heretic. McBrien and the rest of the heretics should be excommunicated with all the pervert priests. Their cancerous infection is causing big damage in and outside the Church.
