I've been wondering ... and anyone who knows, please enlighten me. How CAN a Cardinal be removed? Does the Pope do it? Is he "voted out" by his fellow Cardinals?

Bishops and Cardinals (a Cardinal is nothing more than a bishop with a red hat) serve where and when the Pope tells them to. No voting involved. If the Pope decided to ask for Law's resignation, Law would have to tender it. If the Pope decides to transfer Law to Siberia, Law would say "yes, thank you."

Do you think that it would help to write letters to the Pope? To the Cardinals? To our own bishop? I have a great Bishop in my diocese and I think that he is definitely on our side in this scandal.
