"...a struggle to make sure that the Catholic priesthood is not dominated by homosexual men," Gregory told a news conference ..."
Well,uh, excuse me, but isn't there a document from the beginning of Vatican II, in 1961, that says homosexual men can't be ordained in the firstplace? And if they aren't ordained in the first place, ie, if the magisterium is followed correctly, then the head of the NCCB wouldn't be struggling so "to make sure that the Catholic priesthood is not dominated by homosexual men."
Is it just me or does Bishop Gregory sound downright absurd? His statement implies another... 'gee willikers, its ok as long as they don't dominate' while he winks at the Vatican document.
His double talk is an implication in itself.

Your observations are spot on! Bishop Gregory and Cardinal George are both part of the problem IMO.
