That's what I thought. So the Catholic church isn't struggling to keep homosexuals out, it's struggling just to keep practicinghomosexuals out, right?

But I would hope that a non-practicing & repentant homosexuals would still be as welcome as anyone in the priesthood.

The church considers homosexuality a "grave" disorder. While the act is a sin, the underlying disorder that causes one to act is still an aberration, and homosexuals should not be accepted into the priesthood. The disordered should not be entrusted to lead the flock.
