You realize that in the voting booth, there is a gender gap -- with women tending to favor liberals and those who will protect the right of abortion. So not only aren't your feelings shared by all women, your feelings tend to be a minority even among women.
I'm sorry, that's simply wrong. Women these days are pro-life, a fact that even leftist polls are confirming (call up the feminist Center For Gender Equality and ask them what their polling data on the subject is showing). And women, as well as men, overwhelmingly oppose abortion on demand and 2nd/3rd trimester abortions. You shouldn't be so quick to believe media propaganda.
And it doesn't matter IF I'm in the minority (though difference questions yield far different statistics). IF you believe that life begins at conception, you can not support abortion unless you can make an argument for justifable homicide. The pro-aborts don't want to go there. They have successfully changed the debate from "Is an unborn child a life" to "women have the right to choose to do what they want with their body."
We need to change the debate back. You might be surprised at how many people, how many WOMEN, don't know what Roe v. Wade did. My mother ... a highly educated 50-something woman ... thought Roe v. Wade only legalized abortion in the first trimester.
Abortion is murder. Abortion is 100% preventable: we can choose not to have sex and therefore will not have a pregnancy. If we choose to have sex, we need to be prepared to accept whatever consequences there are ... a pregnancy, STDs, etc.
