Any "Conservative" political movement in America must be animated by a continual reference to, and analysis of, the intersection between faith and politics.

Geez, even Bill Buckley realized 40 years ago that religionists would have to welcome non-religionists into the limited government cause.

That is, after all, what "conservatism" used to be -- small government -- let people free to do as they wished. It is socialism that has the grand plan for everybody. Unfortunately "cultural conservatism" is sort of a religious socialism come to hijack political conservatism.

Unfortunately "cultural conservatism" is sort of a religious socialism come to hijack political conservatism. In point of fact, it is largely reactionary. The agenda of the "Radical Right" would be familiar to Tocqueville.
