I still wish we knew who had the security "concession" where this scumbag will be tried.

Remember that the Clintons/Janet Reno made sure that AKAL got contracts for security for several courts.

interesting point sal. maybe it's time to get what's left of the ol AKAL gang back together for this one?

Speaking of AKAL, Yossef Bodansky says, in his book on bin Laden, that the Pakistani ISI trained Indian Sikh terrorists in camps in Afghanistan (I think it was Afghanistan, might have been Pakistan).

What is there remaining, 4 of us? Besides, I'm turning all of youse guys in for "un-patriotismistic actions". Or something. That's my Stratergery for getting a warm coat for next winter at the camp.

I'll start looking a bit later. 'Til then ---

Website for Pinkertons-Burns-Securitas

I think most people here are familiar with the organization Pinkertons has been affiliated with.

Just spent a couple hours on google trying to find out who has the contract for the Arlington court--no luck tonight.

Akal used to have a listing of the court contracts on their site, but the listing is no longer there. Some of the things I came across suggest that the US Marshall Service may be trying to do away with contracts for court protection (which would be a wise move IMO), so it's possible they've managed to do that.

However, as of Jan. 2000, it looks like AKAL did have the D.C. courts:

[t]his is a supplemental response to your letter concerning application of section 4.165(c) of McNamara O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) Regulations, 29 C.F.R. Part 4, to a court security contract performed by AKAL Security (AKAL) in Washington, D.C.

Maybe we'll have better luck tomorrow.
