Thanks for posting this, John. It makes sense to me. The Palestinians started fighting the day after the British left Israel.
My father was born back in 1929. Several years ago, as a gift, I gave him a photocopy of the front page of the NY Times on the day he was born. When it arrived in the mail I was anxious to see what was the front page headline on the day he was born.
The headline was that the Palestinians were rioting and fighting with the British. Now THAT was an eyeopener.
