In general, I am opposed to all foreign aid. I will, however, point this out: Isreal is the only country to which we have given foreign aid that shows any appreciation for it, or which can be counted on as an ally. At this point I am ready to strip Egypt, Jordan, the Palis and any other nation/group who has not stepped up the plate and strip them of their aid for the sole purpose of giving it to the Isrealis. IMHO!

I tend to agree with you about foreign aid, because I think the countries receiving it get "addicted" to it, and I sometimes wonder how many of the leaders have Swiss bank accounts. How much of our foreign aid really goes to the purpose for which it was intended? If it did, why are the third world countries struggling more now than they have in the past?

After zillions of our dollars, which of these countries are any better off? Now America is the "bad guy" because according to Klintoon and Elton John and who knows who else, we're not digging in our pockets enough. I think it's a big scam to eliminate the middle class in this country. Smells like globalism and socialism to me. I guess I'm getting old and cranky.
