UN Secretary General Kofi Annan rejects Israel's criticism of UN's special envoy to the Middle East, Norway's Terje Roed-Larsen(photo).
Annan gives his full support to Roed-Larsen.
Annan is concerned over the criticism of Roed-Larsen by the Israeli government.
The criticism was voiced after the envoy described the Israeli army's methods as unwarranted and morally objectionable, when he viewed the destructions in the Jenin refugee camp.
Annan say he has full confidence in Roed-Larsen.
-Throughout the many years he has worked to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Roed-Larsen has allways behaved professionally, with objectivity and sympathy, Annan said.
Interviewed by Israeli television, Roed-Larsen said any decent human being would have said what he said, namely that what he saw in Jenin was "shocking and horryfying beyond belief".
He pointed out that he was not referring to what had happened during the battle, but after the battle, when Israel had refused to allow rescue operations in the ruined camp to start immediately.

Only the UN and the EU could trust these barbarians.
Annan also endorses THESE Palestinian murders
Gee, I wonder why Israel didn't let rescue operations into the camp immediately...
Officials of the International Red Cross are calling on the IDF to assist in neutralizing the hundreds of bombs still scattered in PA-controlled Jenin. Red Cross officials announced that Israel is obligated to assist in dealing with the bombs as well as efforts to uncover bodies in the PA city. Red Cross officials on Monday added that requests were made three days ago but Israel is yet to respond. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/news.php3?id=22190
